Think Beyond Your Own Self to Be Happy
During his visit to London in November last year, Dr. Satpathy was interviewed by Zee TV (UK). Following are some of the key learning from the interview:
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] In order to be happy, You need to think beyond your own self. Help and serve others. If one doesn’t accept this voluntarily, it would be forced upon him by time.
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Be a Role-model for your Children.
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Possess only as much (things) as you can Manage.
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Remain Ordinary. Be Humble. Humility is a great Strength. The most difficult thing in life is to remain Ordinary and keep everything “normal” around us.
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] It takes a lot of Sacrifice and Practice to develop Compassion inside us. It requires Time and Effort, and has an associated Cost.
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Use your “God-given Capital” (give a sweet smile, and loving touch to people around you. use palatable language.)
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Simplify your Life. Avoid the Avoidables.
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Rituals and Spiritual practices are the Process (in self-realization) and not an End in itself.
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Turn your Pain into Creativity.
[icon name=”star” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Appreciate the Sacrifices made by your Parents in rearing you and Respect them. There is no one greater than one’s Mother.
