There doesn’t exists a single individual who possesses everything that he wishes for. Due to their limited intellect, human beings sometimes give more value to nonessential things of life than what they deserve. Unfulfilled desires lead to suffering and frustration. Such desires can be material, mental, or physical in nature. A spiritual seeker, who aspires to attain self-realization<\/em> or God-realization<\/em>, will not be troubled by nonfulfilment of his worldly desires. However, a seeker of material objects would never be satisfied, even when his worldly desires are fulfilled, because new desires constantly crop up in his mind. He will never be able to appreciate the simplicity<\/em> and blissfulness<\/em>\u00a0of the spiritual world and saints.<\/p>\n

Shirdi Sai Baba has asked his devotees to be satisfied with whatever God gives them. How can a person even imagine that all his wishes will ever be fulfilled in life? If that was so, Lord Rama<\/em> and Pandavas\u00a0<\/em>would not have suffered so much and for so long. if one accepts the fact that life is nothing but a mix of successes and failures, then he will not feel miserable when some, bot not all, of his wishes get fulfilled.<\/p>\n

[Many types of thought waves arise in\u00a0 the ocean of the human mind. Innumerable desires like the waves continuously disturbs the human beings. The Guru especially tries to annihilate the (base) desires (of the devotees). However, without being aware of the greatness of the Guru, the naive devotee prays for His compassion for petty things.<\/em>]<\/p>\n

Baba used to tell his devotees, “Even if the whole world goes upside down (topsy-turvy), don’t get perturbed. Just watch and see what happens next<\/em>“.<\/p>\n
