Dr. Satpathy at Sai International School

On July 20th, 2015, Sai International School, Bhubaneswar, Odisha had invited Guruji Dr. C B Satpathy to felicitate as the Internationally acclaimed global and spiritual leader. There Guruji addressed the attendees.

In his speech Guruji said that “The world never progressed without the dream of a person expanding to become a universal dream“. Guruji stressed the importance of appreciating the contribution of society and Institutions in shaping us and said “We should be ever prepared to give our share of offerings back to the society”. Then he added, “The theme of universalism is to appreciate the contribution of others in our life”.

Guruji said: “The world is changing and the question we must ask ourselves is – Are we flowing with the change or Are we an obstacle to the change? If you turn the pages of history, you will find that every time a large number of people became an obstacle to change, a universal energy descended on this earth to remove the impediments – we in India call them ‘Avatar’ or ‘Saint’. Similar instances can be found in other parts of the globe – Socrates, Lao Tzu, and Confucius arrived to help the society to evolve and move on the path of  progress. They are no less than spiritual masters.

Next, Guruji explained the etymology of the word ‘Dharma’. Guruji said, “The classical Sanskrit noun dharma is a derivation from the root dhṛu, which has a meaning of ‘to hold together'”. He then added that, if we follow this principle in our family, we are discharging the ‘Parivarik Dharma’, in a society, the ‘Samajik Dharma’, and at a larger scale in a state, the ‘Rashtra Dharma’.

Finally, Guruji briefly narrated his experience as the guest chaplain in the US House of Representatives on 24th June, 2015 at Washington DC, USA and thanked Sai International school for the honor.
