Teachings

1.”Difference of opinion should not lead to difference of mind. Half the problems of our life will not arise at all if we remember this.”

2. “When one starts loving a Sadguru and establishes an internal contact with him, the divine love latent in his soul slowly comes out with all it’s
manifestation.”

3. “From the compound of your heart always keep clear the path going up to Shri Sai, so that whenever you are troubled by the problems of life, you can find your way to Him.”

4. “Only realized souls know that life under the protection of a Sadguru is much more joyous and meaningful than the so called life in the heaven, how-so-ever grand it seem.”

5.”Before we ask for Baba’s grace we should request Baba to make us worthy of His grace. If we want the Master or God to shower His grace on us we should be graceful and kind to others including animals.

6. “In the present times, a modern man cannot do ‘Yoga’ or ‘Yagnya’; The simplest approach is to keep ‘Ishta’ or ‘Guru’ closest to one’s consciousness by engaging in ‘Swadhyaya’, ‘Atma Chintan’ and ‘Satsang’.”

7. “Do not ponder over negative traits in others, for then they will take root in you. On the other hand if you ponder on the good traits in others those will grow in you.”

8. “The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Therefore always adhere to the straight path in life.”

9. “It is absolutely necessary to have immense faith in the Sadguru and worship Him as God. At the same time it is required to simplify the method of worship of the Sadguru.”

10. “All the time bearing Baba in mind is the real worship – this is spontaneous worship. To love Baba is the best form of worship.”

The easiest way to spiritual evolution is to:

1. Believe that the Sadguru is the Divine incarnation who lead people towards temporal and spiritual development.

2.  To follow the path laid down by Him as reflected in His earthly conduct and preaching.

3.  To understand that no man how much ever he strives, can evolve in the spiritual field beyond a certain limit without the help and kindness of a Sadguru. Even
incarnations like Shri Krishna and Shri Rama, in the process of experiencingthe God state in Them, had to be helped by Sandeepani and Vasishta, the Sadgurus of the time.

4.  To focus the entire spiritual consciousnesses on the
Sadguru, both in Sakara (formed) or Nirakar (formless) and worship them.

5.  To believe that the Guru is the repository of all Divine powers and therefore, He alone should be made the mainstay of one’s life. All needs, worries and questions should be projected to him.

    • It’s easy to be Complicated but difficult to Simple. “SAI” can only be realized in simplicity.
    • When Shirdi Sai Baba was in His mortal body at Shirdi, devotees used to flock around Him on the New Year’s Eve to get His blessings, and Sri Sainath used to bless everyone. On one such occasion during the New Year’s Day, Sri Sainath told a devotee “Think, what you have done last year. Try to evolve your soul because the life is not a year, a month or a day. It is a time continuum spreading over millenniums. The soul is beyond this concept of year, month or day.”
    • Some people believe in living for today only. The wiser men have always lived not only for yesterday and today, but also for tomorrow. Tomorrow will justify today as today explains yesterday. Therefore, it is good to live today but in a way that one does not die
      tomorrow.
    • Sri Sai saw no difference between one person and another and between living and non‐living. Today, there stand two tombs at Shirdi, one for a horse and other for a tiger as a monumental
evidence of this universal love of Sri Sai.
    • Destiny is not comparable. Destiny of each person is unique by itself. So don’t suffer by comparing and contrasting your destiny with others’.
    • Because the past was imperfect and future uncertain, we must not spoil the perfect present.
    • Opinion should not lead to difference of mind. Half the problems of our life will not arise at all if we remember this.
    • Instead of conquering the world, conquer your mind. If you conquer your mind, you can conquer the world.
  • Do not ponder over negative thoughts as this is infectious, which gets into the system. Keep negative thoughts out of your being.
