Felicitation of Dr C. B. Satpathy Ji in Mumbai

On 31st October, 2015, Dr. C. B. Satpathy ji was felicitated by the Honorable Governor of Maharashtra Shri Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao for his immense service to humanity at a grand function organized at the “Darbar Hall” of Raj Bhawan at Mumbai.  On this occasion, the Marathi translation of the spiritual treatise, ‘Shri Guru Bhagavat’, Volume-I was released by Shri Vinod Tawade, Honourable Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra and its first copy was presented to Honorable Governor of Maharashtra.

In his address, the Honourable Governor of Maharashtra pointed out the importance of Shri Guru Bhagavat in modern times when the society is passing through a phase of fear, hatred and intolerance.  Honorable Governor even requested Shri Vinod Tawde, to consider introducing ‘Shri Guru Bhagavat’ in the curriculum of education at the appropriate level to inculcate moral wisdom among students and Shri Vinod Tawade ji conceded to the request.

While addressing the audience, Shri Vinod Tawade ji also emphasized the importance of Shri Guru Bhagavat in realizing the self and also bringing people closer to each other in the society.

In his speech, Dr. Satpathy appreciated the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra and the essence of the lives of different saints.  He emphasized on the importance of evaluating ones own conduct rather than analyzing others.  Besides stating the importance of temples, he also threw light on the importance of charitable and humanitarian activities in ones life.  He mentioned that though he was being felicitated in many places in India and abroad, the most overwhelming for him was the recognition by Shirdi Sai Sansthan.

On this occasion a documentary on Dr. Satpathy ji was shown in Raj Bhawan which enthralled the audience.

Marathi translation of ‘Shri Guru Bhagavat’, Volume-I has been done by Mrs. Varsha Tarkhad.  The book release function was organized by Kaka Sahib Dixit Trust of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba and was attended by dignitaries and devotees from all over India.
