Do not distance me from You
(159 & 160)
Fill me with compassion and engage me in the service of living beings. Let my life be spent in serving the poor, making it (my life) worthwhile. Oh Gurudev, You are the ‘Bhav’ (one who rouses spiritual emotions), yet again You are the ‘Abhav’ (one who can withdraw spiritual emotions). Both these emanate from You. That is why I face no contradictions in understanding You .
(161 & 162)
I am a mere instrument at Your hand . I am the receiver of Your ‘compassion’ and ‘grace’. Knowing this, Oh Guru! my mind is always free from worries. You are all around me (in subtle form). You are witnessing me from within and without. Therefore, I suffer neither ‘fear’ nor ‘apprehension’ and I am not afraid of the worldly troubles.
(163 & 164)
In order to fulfill Your desires, I only understand the path of ‘Karma’ (actions). However, if I act according to my own will, I will surely fall in the pit of illusion (Maya). Through Your thought waves, kindly infuse devotional feelings (‘Bhav’) within my heart. Once my heart gets colored with such ‘Bhav’ (emotions), all actions will be done as per Your wishes.
(165 & 166)
Oh Nath (my Lord) ! I only know this much that You are the protector of the unprotected (beings). Once I am under Your refuge, I (my life) will not be destroyed in vain . Oh the seed of ‘Bhakt-brikshya’ (tree of devotees)! Gururaj (Emperor of Gurus) and nurturer of devotees, You may or may not give ‘Kripa’ (Grace); but please do not distance me from You.
