The ‘Door-keeper’ of the Divine Path
The ‘Divine Path’ is established by God. Everyone moves along this path either slowly or quickly. The door opens immediately for him who has unwavering faith, patience, courage and is solely dependent on the Guru. The Door-keeper is extremely calculative (of the virtues and Sins of everyone) and when one accumulates enough of virtue, He opens the door (for the devotee).
Since the key is with the Door-keeper, the divine-gate does not open without His kindness. He is endowed with virtues and empowered by the compassion of God. No one except Him has the power to open the Divine-door and only when he becomes merciful, does the door opens easily. The ‘Sadguru’ is the Door-keeper who always plays this divine game.
Shri Sadguru gets His work (pious activities) conducted through these devotees. However, such divine activities does not only consist of worship, prayer, penance, recitation of holy names or religious practices. The devotee, with a worldly-dispassion works in accordance with the instructions of the Guru. He always renders service for the welfare and spiritual evolution of the human beings.
Shri Sadguru gives as much power (to a devotee) as is needed for the performance of the task. Always keeping a watch on the devotee, He takes him along the path of spiritual evolution, holding his hand (leads him) with the filial love of a mother.
