Offer whatever you have to Shri Guru

Young or old, rich or poor, wise or ignorant, all should take refuge at the lotus feet of Shri Guru. Complete child-like surrender and unwavering faith in one’s Guru takes a devotee towards God-realization. Change your actions and mannerism by listening to Guru’s advice. Meditate on your Guru. There is no need to carry out arduous spiritual practices such as Yoga, Sadhana, etc. Instead, offer simple prayers with utmost love and devotion i.e. Embed your Guru in your heart. There is no need to undergo fast or penance. Read spiritual text, recite God’s name and Guru’s name. Don’t ponder over your omissions and oversights. Only remember the good experiences. While doing your work, while creating any form of art,  remember your Guru. Only those art forms where “Guru Tattva” (the essence of Guru) is inherent, become everlasting. Offer whatever you have to Shri Guru!

As quoted in Shri Guru Bhagavat:

ପିଲା ହୁଅ କି ବୁଢା ହୁଅ | ଧନୀ ମାନୀ ବା ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ହୁଅ ||
ନିଜ ବୈଭବ ଯଶ ଭୁଲି | ଶରଣେ ଯାଅ ଶିଶୁ ଭଳି ||

Pilaa hua baa budha hua | Dhanee, manee baa gyanee hua ||
Jina baibhaba jasha bhuli | Sharane jaao shishu bhali
