Sai’ism of the Day
The association with the Guru is like the sacred Ganges water which cleanses and makes one pure. It also stabilises the mind on God, which otherwise is fickle.
That “Brahma is real” is experienced everyday. That “the world is an illusion” is a daily awareness. Sai grants this state of heavenly bliss to his devotees.
As quoted in Shri Guru Bhagavat, Vol. 5
Tuma khuntire bandhaa hoi || Bhakta chaaripaashe ghoorai
Khuntabandhaa na hoithile || Baachuree sama pade khaale
Tenu hey Guru krupaamaya || Bhakatanku hua sadaya
Tama aalokara chaayaare || Bhakta na jiba andhakaare
Your devotees are like the innocent cattle moving (grazing) around a (wooden) post, which they are tied to. If the devotees were not been tied this way to You, they would have gone astray and fallen into the pit (of life). Therefore, please be kind to Your devotees. Keep them in the shadow of Your divine halo, so they no longer drift towards darkness in life.
